ABOUT THE PRODUCT TEAM
Varo’s product team is a cornerstone of the culture and the app experiences that our customers interact with on a daily basis. We’re responsible for making sure the products we ship provide innovative solutions that solve real problems for people.
We appreciate the value of getting into the mental models of our customers and out of our offices. We truly live up to the “glue” metaphor for product management and bring together cross-functional teams to act on a combination of qualitative and quantitative data. ABOUT THE DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, SERVICE AND SUPPORT ROLE
We are currently seeking a Director of Product Management to lead Varo’s service and support efforts. In this role, you will create and drive the strategy, vision, and roadmap, with a high degree of ownership. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, make a big impact, and help us scale Varo Bank.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop and drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our service and support experience.
Prioritize solutions that will deliver deep integrations, product performance, and operational scalability alongside peers across the company.
Create capability/feature level roadmaps with clear success metrics that achieve a given set of goals and outcomes.
Be a player / coach product leader, providing leadership, motivation, and guidance to product managers, design, and engineering teams, while directly contributing to advancing the product.
Champion new tools and systems to improve our internal operations and help us deliver even better products and services, faster.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE THAT'LL HELP YOU BE GREAT
Accomplished product leader at a startup or fast growing company, leading a team of PMs.
Ability to leverage data and good judgment to make difficult decisions in a timely manner.
Ability to set the product direction and lead a team without a lot of oversight.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to succinctly articulate concepts, ideas, and recommendations.
Skilled at cross functional partnership and able to ask for what you need to move your team forward.
Comfortable rolling up your sleeves when something that may exist at a bigger company isn’t available at a startup.
Customer service, CRM, and cloud based agent tools.
