Data Architect
Progressive Leasing is looking for a Data Architect for our Draper, UT office. The primary function of this position will be to support the design, development and implementation of all data initiatives. This role will report to the Enterprise Architect, and will lead a Data Council that includes Engineering and Business Intelligence leaders. The Data Architect will have the frequent opportunity to collaborate with senior leaders, to develop and evolve the vision and strategies of data services; identifying gaps in data governance. Documenting gaps and making recommendations to enhance internal best practices, and developing data trust across the organization will also be an essential function of this role.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze technical, business process and data processing problems, and coordinate resolution
- Perform data analysis in order to identify and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to predict and improve system performance
- Coordinate small to large projects in an Agile cross-functional environment leveraging Scrum, business analysis, and project management techniques
- Work in highly virtualized public and private cloud environments
- Work with senior team members to implement capacity, health, and security monitoring at every layer of the application stack
- Conduct research, documents findings and makes recommendations on products, tools, services, protocols and standars that will support data management strategy
- Demonstrate a proven ability to learn and grow through self-study
- Adhere to all security standards as set forth by the organization
- Have experience supporting a large (>1000 employee), fast-paced, always-on, enterprise technology organization
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience as a project lead with emphasis in business and technical analysis
- Experience with Jira or other, similar Agile project management software
- Experience with SQL, Excel, and other data tools for data mining, analytics, and reporting
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or other similar CMS / SKMS
- Understanding and basic technical proficiency with VMWare vSphere, Windows Server, and CentOS Linux
- Exposure to SaaS datacenter technologies and environments (e.g., load-balancers, firewalls, storage appliances, etc.)
- Basic understanding of common protocols and services, including: DHCP, DNS, FTP(S), HTTP(S), LDAP, SIP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, TCP, UDP
- Exposure to the following common Agile CI/CD development tools: BitBucket, Electric Cloud, Jenkins, etc
- Experience with enterprise telephony systems and call-center environments is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in an information technology related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience supporting a large (>1000 employee), fast-paced, always-on, enterprise technology organization
