Rachel Hofstetter
Chief Marketing Officer, Chatbooks
Rachel Hofstetter is the Chief Marketing Officer at Chatbooks, an app that helps busy parents automatically make photo books of their family's everyday life. In the past two years, Rachel has led the company’s marketing efforts to achieve hyper-growth, tripling revenue each year.
Pairing lessons from her economics degree with creative storytelling experience honed working as a magazine editor, Rachel has designed a “data-first” and technology-driven marketing team that has won widespread brand marketing acclaim. The Chatbooks “Real Mom” videos (80 million views and counting) have each been recognized as Adweek’s Ad of the Day, and have exponentially grown sales through analytical advertising strategies.
As a former co-founder of a software startup (guesterly, acquired by Chatbooks in 2015), Rachel strongly believes in the partnership between marketing and product. She has hired a team and created processes to support this philosophy: 100% of creative team members can code, and marketing team members are a part of all product roadmapping conversations.
Rachel was first inspired to start her own business while interviewing entrepreneurs in her role as a magazine editor at O, the Oprah Magazine, and went on to write Cooking Up a Business, a best-seller from Penguin-Random House.
